There’s only one person who can scream at me voluntarily: Coach Greg Doucette.

On his YouTube channel, he’s been teaching mere mortals (or fellow circles, as he calls us) the ins and outs of fitness and exercising.

“Train Harder Than Last Time” – Coach Greg

Coach Greg is an IFBB Pro Bodybuilder, Master of Kinesiology, Guinness World Record Holder for multiple lifts, Fitness coach, and well-known YouTube personality.

Oh, and not to forget master chef with his famous Ultimate Anabolic Cookbook 2.0 that has completely transformed the dieting game.

Also, after reviewing the Pre-Workout 2.0, Pre-Pump, and Hardcore Stim, “Mad Pre-Workout Scientist” can be added to the list (click for review).

With his new venture, HTLT Supplements, he’s set to take over the supplement with high-quality, premium fitness supplements.

The mission is to help you train harder than last time and get the results you’re looking for.

I’ll review the HTLT Supplements to find out if it’s the real deal.

In this article, I’ll review Perilyte BCAA to find out if it’ll help you Train Harder And Longer Than Last Time.

Ingredients in HTLT Perilyte BCAA

HTLT is entirely transparent about the ingredients and quantities used in Perilyte BCAA.

It contains an optimal dose of BCAAs, with added EAAs, Vitamin C and B2, and a wide range of electrolyte minerals.

I’ll explain each ingredient in detail below:

50 mg of Vitamin C (56% DV)

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a vital nutrient for your body to heal correctly. It forms blood vessels, muscles, cartilage, and collagen in bones.

Taking it during a workout may help in post-training recovery.

250 mcg of Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)(19% DV)

Vitamin B2 plays a vital role in metabolism, where they help carbs, proteins, and fats convert into energy.

Besides turning food into energy, they’re needed in many places inside our bodies to keep our cells functioning properly.

It’s also an antioxidant that protects the body from free radicals and may help against certain diseases.

Electrolytes

  • 200 mg of Calcium (19% DV)
  • 168 mg of Phosphorus (15% DV)
  • 100 mg of Magnesium (13% DV)
  • 2 mg of Zinc (18% DV)
  • 250 mg of Sodium (11% of DV)
  • 200 mg of Potassium (4% of DV)

Electrolytes are essential for your nerve function and muscles to contract correctly. Low levels may result in nasty muscle cramps.

They’re used nearly everywhere in the body and keep your body hydrated. It can support your workout by increasing blood volume and improving blood flow.

Below are some ways these essential minerals help you:

Calcium is vital for building and maintaining strong bones and is necessary to keep your body functioning correctly.

Phosphorus or dipotassium phosphate is essential for healthy muscles and bones. It helps the production of ATP, the energy used by your muscles during exercise. It may also reduce fatigue.

Magnesium assists in moving blood sugar into your muscles, providing them with energy. It also helps dispose of lactic acid, which helps reduce fatigue.

Zinc is used in our bodies on the cellular level to create DNA and plays a role in the growth of cells. It’s also needed to heal damaged tissue, create protein molecules during protein synthesis, and support a healthy immune system.

EAAs

  • 5,000 mg of BCAAs (2:1:1 ratio) - L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine
  • 750mg of L-Lysine
  • 750 mg of L-Threonine
  • 500 mg of L-Histidine HCI
  • 250 mg of L-Methionine
  • 250 mg of L-Phenylalanine
  • 250 mg of L-Tryptophan

Twenty kinds of amino acids exist, of which nine are essential. Our bodies don’t produce these, but we need them to survive. They’re necessary for recovery, sleep quality, muscle-building, and retention.

Three (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine) are called BCAA’s, or branched-chain amino acids. They’re more likely to go into our skeleton muscles and are especially important for building muscle.

Mainly L-Leucine is vital for protein synthesis to occur. Science suggests that the optimal ratio of BCAAs is 2:1:1, meaning 2 L-Leucine for every 1 L-Isoleucine and 1 L-Valine.

Studies found that consuming BCAAs during training sessions can improve strength/ muscle gains and recovery.

This is why BCAA supplements have risen in popularity over the years.

Flavors of HTLT Perilyte BCAA

HTLT Perilyte BCAA comes in 3 different flavors. Options are great, but option overload is real, so more is not always better.

The following flavors are available:

  • Tropical Fruit Punch
  • Sour Gummy Worm
  • Pina Colada

I usually prefer candy flavors, but honestly, all three of these are AMAZING. The Pina Colada and Tropical Fruit Punch make me feel like I’m having a micro-holiday on a white beach under a palm tree.

The Sour Gummy Worm teleports me to the inside of a giant candy shop for a split second. Choose the feeling you prefer.

Is HTLT Perilyte BCAA safe?

HTLT Perilyte BCAA is entirely safe for most healthy people because amino acids and electrolytes are necessary for our bodies to function correctly.

However, people with maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) should avoid BCAA supplements. They cannot break down amino acids properly.

It’s also best to consult a medical provider before taking Perilyte BCAA if you’re taking medication, have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are nursing.
