Creatine is one of the heaviest researched supplements, with its effectiveness proven in many scientific studies.

It’s immensely popular, and there are countless sellers. It’s hard to know which one to buy.

But that’s why I’m here; I love supplements and guiding others on their supplement journeys.

Beast Sports Nutrition has a creatine supplement containing five different forms of creatine, with an additional “creatine optimizer” blend.

It’s manufactured in an FDA-inspected cGMP facility in the USA and third-party tested. They sure caught my interest with a “Fuel The Beast” slogan.

Is Beast Sports Nutrition Creature the perfect creatine supplement for you? Well, let’s find out.

In this article, I’ll be reviewing Beast Creature.

Beast Creature Explained

Beast Creature does not state the exact amounts of each creatine form used. The total “creatine complex” contains 4 grams per serving of 5.5 grams.

It’s always best to know exactly what you’re consuming, so I’m not a huge fan of hiding quantities behind a “complex.”

Beast Creature does contain natural and artificial flavoring and color.

Creatine Monohydrate

Creatine Monohydrate is creatine bound to one water molecule (mono-hydrate). It’s the most common and heaviest researched form of creatine.

Di-Creatine Malate

This is a combination of creatine with malic acid.

The malic acid makes the creatine more resistant to the acids in the stomach, which means less creatine will be broken down before it reaches its destination.

It increases absorption, which again may enhance the benefits of creatine.

Creatine Citrate

This is creatine bound to citric acid. This may slightly increase solubility and absorption, but you’ll need double the dose of creatine monohydrate.

Creatine Gluconate

This is creatine bound with glucose. It’s absorbed better and faster by the muscles, and less is wasted by being dissolved by stomach acid.

Creatine Anhydrous

This is not bound to anything, so it’s almost “pure” creatine. It offers slightly more creatine per gram but isn’t more effective.

92.5 mg of Creatine Optimizers

  • Banaba Leaf Extract
  • Cinnamon Bark Extract

Not sure how 92.5 mg of these extracts will “optimize” the creatine absorption. There is no scientific evidence for this whatsoever.

That being said, there are overall health benefits from taking these extracts. Interestingly Cinnamon Bark is used to treat gastrointestinal upset, diarrhea, and gas.

All of these are common side effects of creatine monohydrate.

What does creatine do?

Creatine is found naturally in our muscle cells, where it helps our muscles produce energy. It’s mainly beneficial for heavy lifting and high-intensity (short-duration) exercise.

The energy source of your muscles is called ATP, or adenosine triphosphate.

For example, you go to the gym on Monday, and it’s international chest day. You secure a bench and start to bang out your first working set of bench presses.

After 10 reps with a certain weight, you can’t (without sacrificing your firstborn) perform the 11th rep. After the 10th rep, your chest/ shoulder/ tricep muscles ran out of ATP to use.

Your body produces and loses ATP simultaneously during a set, but production is slower, which means eventually, you run out.

Creatine is excellent because it helps your muscle to produce more ATP, which means you can do a couple more reps with a given weight.

Over time these extra repetitions and sets will result in more muscle mass, strength increases, and better performance.

Benefits of Beast Creature

Creatine is one of the most studied fitness supplements that can tremendously benefit your fitness journey.

I’ve been using creatine daily for over six years, and I don’t plan to quit anytime soon.

Most benefits are the same for any (high-quality) creatine supplement. What can you expect from taking Beast Creature?

Strength Progression

The increase in ATP in your muscle cells allows you to do more repetitions with any given weight.

Your body will recover and adapt to more weight lifted/ repetitions done, making a real difference in strength progress over time.

Muscle Mass

Just like your strength will adapt to more repetitions, your muscles will grow noticeably faster.

When we lift weights, we create micro-tears in our muscles. Our bodies repair these micro-tears and strengthen our muscles to handle the lifted weights in the future.

Extra repetitions using creatine lead to more micro-tears, which means more adaptation (bigger muscles).

Fat Loss

As a result of increased muscle mass faster, BEAST Creature can greatly support fat loss.

More muscle means your body uses more energy (increased metabolism), expediting your weight loss efforts.

Better body composition

Creatine helps your body composition both during a muscle-gain and fat-loss phase. Building more muscle will improve your muscle-to-fat ratio.

Doing more repetitions during a fat loss phase will retain muscle mass (and strength), thus improving the muscle-to-fat ratio.

Explosive Movements/ Cardio

Creatine positively affects short-duration high-intensity movements or cardio, like sprinting, jumping, or cycling.

During these types of cardio, ATP is used as the primary source of energy by your muscles.

As creatine increases ATP, this will make you more explosive and improve your performance in these areas.

Possible side effects and safety of Beast Creature

I’ve never had any side effects or adverse reactions from taking creatine monohydrate. Creatine monohydrate is entirely safe for most healthy adults.

It’s one of the most studied dietary fitness supplements. Other forms of creatine will likely be as safe, but fewer studies have been done.

In some uncommon cases, creatine may cause kidney damage, liver damage, kidney stones, weight gain, bloating, dehydration, muscle cramps, digestive concerns, compartment syndrome, and rhabdomyolysis.

The (severe) side effects are very unlikely if you stay hydrated while taking creatine.

People with kidney or liver disease or diabetes can best avoid creatine supplements. It’s also not recommended for people below 18 years old (I purged in this regard).

A minority of people get an upset stomach, cramping, diarrhea, feel nauseous, or have unwanted water retention from taking creatine.

Beast Creature claims its creatine complex will have fewer side effects.

Mixability and flavor of Beast Creature Creatine

Mixability and Flavor of Beast Creature

Beast Creature has the benefit of coming in three different flavors that taste surprisingly good for creatine.

For those that like it unflavored, this is possible as well. Mixability could be (a lot) better.

I usually mix it with my pre-workout, where the creatine ends on the bottom. I don’t mind it that much and just shake it while drinking.

The advantage of flavorless creatine is that you can put it in your morning coffee, in which case it dissolves immediately.

How much you value mixability is personal.

Price of Beast Creature Creatine

Price of Beast Creature

Beast Creature is priced at 24.99 dollars for 165 grams on Amazon. For one 5.5-gram serving, this comes out to around $0.83.

This is more than double the price of most creatine supplements I’ve reviewed, and I don’t feel it’s justified.

Below you can find a comparison with the other creatine supplements I’ve reviewed.

The ones I believe are of the highest quality to value are highlighted withRecommended.”

If you have side effects from creatine monohydrate, I recommend trying HCL or PH 12-14 creatine.

  • (Recommended) Bulk Supplements: $0.30 per 5-gram serving (micronized creatine monohydrate | Review)
  • (Recommended) Nutricost: $0.32 per 5-gram serving (micronized creatine monohydrate | Review)

Experiences with Beast Creature Creatine

Experiences with Beast Creature

The majority of people trying Beast Creature are delighted. They experience the benefits of creatine, like more strength, muscle mass, and better performance.

The flavors are well-liked, and many people feel it works better than other creatine supplements they’ve tried.

Criticism is mainly on mixability. However, this problem is common even with many micronized creatine supplements. Also, the price is higher than other high-quality creatine supplements.

It’s worth mentioning that, as with any creatine monohydrate supplement, a small minority of people feel sick (diarrhea, stomach cramps, etc.) when taking it. In this case, trying a more bioavailable (more soluble) creatine HCL might be better. You can check out Beyond Raw (patented, lab-tested, and high-quality) creatine HCL.

Beast Creature gets 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon (and Amazon’s Choice).

Is Beast Creature Worth It?

I believe Beast Creature is a good creatine supplement that’ll give you the expected creatine benefits.

You’ll notice increased strength, muscle mass, and better performance.

For people that don’t like flavorless creatine, I can recommend giving it a try.

You can find Beast Creature on Amazon here.

However, in my opinion, it’s not your best creatine option out there.

I recommend getting a substantially cheaper creatine monohydrate supplement, or if you’re noticing side effects, try creatine HCL.

You can find my favorites with links where you can find them and reviews above in the price comparison.

All of these will be excellent creatine choices.

The CreaPure and PH 12-14 are creatine monohydrates with superior patented quality.
